Day 1 – Arrival in Arusha

Your journey begins with your arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport. You’ll be welcomed by a Rocky Africa & Eco Experience representative and transferred to your luxury hotel in Arusha. This day is reserved for relaxation, allowing you to recover from your flight and enjoy the hotel’s serene atmosphere.

Day 2 – Tarangire National Park Safari

After breakfast, drive to Tarangire National Park, known for its massive elephant herds and giant baobab trees. You’ll spend the day on a game drive through the savannah, spotting wildlife like zebras, lions, giraffes, and antelopes. Enjoy lunch in the park and unwind at a lodge overlooking Lake Manyara.

Day 3 – Explore Lake Manyara National Park

Head to the nearby Lake Manyara National Park, a lush haven for flamingos, baboons, elephants, and the park’s famous tree-climbing lions. You’ll explore its forests, lakes, and open plains before heading to your charming lodge in Karatu for the evening.

Day 4 – Enter Serengeti via Ngorongoro Highlands

Journey into the vast Serengeti via the scenic Ngorongoro Highlands. Along the way, spot wildlife and enjoy views of the Rift Valley. Upon arrival in Serengeti, go on an afternoon game drive before heading to your luxury tented camp for the night.

Day 5 – Full-Day Safari in Serengeti

Spend the day exploring Serengeti National Park, home to lions, leopards, cheetahs, elephants, and—depending on the season—the Great Wildebeest Migration. You’ll have morning and afternoon game drives and can opt for a hot air balloon safari at sunrise (additional cost).

Day 6 – Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

Enjoy a final morning game drive as you exit Serengeti and travel to Ngorongoro. Arrive at your lodge in the Karatu area for a relaxing evening before your crater safari.

Day 7 – Ngorongoro Crater Safari

Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a wildlife-rich volcanic caldera often called “Africa’s Eden.” You’ll have a full day game drive, including a picnic lunch, with chances to see rhinos, lions, elephants, and hippos in one of Africa’s most dramatic landscapes.

Day 8 – Fly to Zanzibar

Transfer to the local airport for your domestic flight to Zanzibar. After arriving, you’ll be transferred to your beachfront hotel. Enjoy your first tropical evening on the island with dinner by the ocean.

Days 9–11 – Romantic Beach Time in Zanzibar

Day 12 – Departure
