Explore Wildlife and Relax on the Crater Rim

Day 1: Arrival in Arusha

Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a Rocky Africa & Eco Experience representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you may rest or explore the area.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park

After breakfast, your guide will drive you to Tarangire National Park (approx. 2.5 hours). This park is known for its massive elephant herds and iconic baobab trees. Enjoy a game drive and picnic lunch inside the park. Later, head to Karatu for the night.

Day 3: Karatu to Serengeti National Park

After an early breakfast, drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area en route to Serengeti National Park. You’ll enjoy views of the crater from above before continuing on to the Serengeti. Experience a game drive in the park before heading to your tented camp.

Day 4: Full Day in Serengeti National Park

Spend the entire day on game drives in the Serengeti. You can choose between two half-day drives (morning and afternoon) or a full-day safari with a picnic lunch. The park offers exceptional wildlife, including big cats, elephants, buffalo, and more.

Day 5: Serengeti to Karatu (via Ngorongoro Highlands)

After breakfast, enjoy a final morning game drive in the Serengeti as you make your way out of the park. You’ll drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and arrive in Karatu by evening for overnight rest.

Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater Exploration

After an early breakfast, drive to the Ngorongoro Crater and descend into the caldera for a full day of game viewing. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is one of the best places in Africa to see the endangered black rhino. After the safari, return to Karatu for overnight.

Day 7: Lake Manyara National Park & Departure

On your final day, visit Lake Manyara National Park — known for its tree-climbing lions and diverse birdlife. After a game drive and picnic lunch, your guide will drive you to Arusha or drop you at Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure.
