Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport, a Rocky Africa & Eco Experience representative will greet you and transfer you to your hotel in Arusha. Depending on your arrival time, you may have the opportunity to relax and prepare for the adventure ahead. Arusha serves as a central hub for safaris in northern Tanzania, and many travelers pass through this bustling city.

Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, your safari guide will collect you from your accommodation and drive you to Tarangire National Park, approximately a 2.5-hour journey on good tarmac roads. The park is named after the Tarangire River, the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season. Tarangire is renowned for its large elephant herds, ancient Baobab trees, and a high density of bird species. You may also encounter giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, and various predators such as lions and leopards. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed within the park before proceeding to your accommodation in Karatu.

Day 3: Karatu to Serengeti National Park
Following breakfast, you’ll drive through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with an opportunity to view the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. Continuing through the conservation area, you’ll enter Serengeti National Park from the south. The Serengeti is famed for its vast open grasslands, abundant wildlife, and the annual Great Migration of wildebeest, zebras, and antelope. Depending on the time of year, you may witness this remarkable natural phenomenon. A picnic lunch will be served, and you’ll overnight at a luxury tented camp in Central Serengeti.

Day 4 & 5: Full Day in Serengeti National Park
This full day is dedicated to game drives within Serengeti National Park. The park boasts a rich diversity of wildlife, including impalas, buffaloes, crocodiles, hippos, lions, cheetahs, and leopards. You have the option to embark on early morning and late afternoon game drives, returning to the camp for lunch, or opt for a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch in the park.

Day 6: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you’ll journey towards Ngorongoro Crater, descending into the caldera for a game drive. The crater, formed millions of years ago, is home to a diverse range of wildlife, including the endangered black rhino. The afternoon game drive within the crater offers opportunities to observe various species in their natural habitat. Following the game drive, you’ll ascend the crater and proceed to your accommodation in Karatu.

Day 7: Lake Manyara National Park
On the final full day of your safari, you’ll visit Lake Manyara National Park, known for its tree-climbing lions and diverse birdlife. The park’s unique ecosystem, with its shallow soda lake and surrounding forests, provides a habitat for thousands of flamingos and other bird species. You may also encounter baboons and elephants within the park’s thick evergreen forest. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed inside the park. After the game drive, you’ll be dropped off at your chosen location, such as Arusha, Kilimanjaro International Airport, or Arusha Airport, concluding your unforgettable safari experience.
