Day 1: Arrival in Arusha
Upon arrival in Arusha, you will be met by a representative and transferred to your accommodation at Arusha Planet Lodge. This day is for rest and settling in. Meals on this day are at your own expense, giving you the flexibility to dine at your leisure and prepare for the adventure ahead.
Day 2: Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, you’ll depart for Tarangire National Park, a scenic drive of about 2.5 hours. The park is famed for its large elephant herds, ancient baobab trees, and rich wildlife that includes giraffes, bushbucks, hartebeests, lions, leopards, and more than 550 bird species. A picnic lunch will be enjoyed within the park during your game drive. In the late afternoon, you’ll be transferred to Eileen’s Tree Inn in Karatu for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater
The day begins with an early drive to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. After descending into the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater, you’ll spend the day exploring its unique ecosystem, home to an astonishing density of wildlife including wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, lions, and a variety of bird species. A picnic lunch will be served on the crater floor, surrounded by stunning landscapes. Later in the day, you’ll ascend and return to Eileen’s Tree Inn in Karatu for dinner and another comfortable night.
Day 4: Lake Manyara National Park to Arusha
On your final day, you’ll head to Lake Manyara National Park, which offers a beautiful blend of lush groundwater forests, expansive floodplains, and acacia woodlands. It’s a haven for flamingos and over 500 species of birds, along with elephants, baboons, and the park’s famous tree-climbing lions. A picnic lunch will be served inside the park. After your game drive, you’ll be transferred back to Arusha or dropped off at a location of your choice, marking the end of your safari adventure.
